We heard that question over the weekend. And it’s a good one.
If you’ve ever played pickup basketball, you know the phrase. When you’re on the sidelines and want in the game, you call out: “Got next.”
It’s confident. It’s bold. It means you’re ready to step up and take your shot.
Our name, SHE’S GOT NEXT, came from that moment.
Our founder, Julie Smulders, remembers playing pickup with the guys—and what it felt like to step up and call “next.”
She knows women—and companies—thrive when women show up ready to play. When they don’t wait to be invited but bring their skills, voice, and leadership to the game. When that spirit carries into business and every other arena where women deserve a shot—real progress happens. And it’s exciting.
Women are stepping up. We’re claiming space, backing each other, and showing up ready.
SHE’S GOT NEXT is our rallying cry.
To support women in sports, in leadership, and in life.
To help women get seen, funded, and connected.
To say, “You belong here. And we’ve got your back.”
And when a woman is ready to step up—we want to make sure she isn’t passed over just because she’s not as big or loud as the guy beside her. Or because of who’s traditionally been on the court.
If she wants a shot, we want her to have it. And there’s a whole community here, making sure she gets it.
