Erica, one of the founding members of SHE’S GOT NEXT, learned how to compete on the basketball court at The University of British Columbia. Today, she’s a Partner at Sequeira advising entrepreneurs on high-stakes corporate finance and M&A decisions. It’s a different arena, but the same mentality. Like many of us, she didn’t have a perfectly mapped-out plan. She followed curiosity. Said yes to opportunities she didn’t fully understand yet. Built trust. Stayed competitive and kept showing up. Along the way, she also played professional basketball in Europe (childhood dream unlocked). Today, she mentors the next generation of women in finance and still trains in the gym weekly. What motivates her most is the underdog mentality, which she never wants to lose. We love shining the spotlight on women who compete quietly and change rooms while they’re at it.
