We got this photo and a lovely note in our inbox last week—and it lit us up.
This is Penny. She’s three.

Her dad, a very proud girl dad, got her one of our SHE’S GOT NEXT shirts.
He sent the photo to show it wasn’t just talk—he’s serious about raising a daughter who knows she belongs in sport, in leadership, and wherever she chooses to be in this world.
He said that when the shirt comes out of the laundry, she shouts, “MY FAVORITE SHIRT!”
It’s so genuine and joyful. And we think it’s because kids take in everything.
They see who gets cheered for. They notice who gets called strong—and who just gets called cute. They feel it when they’re supported and when someone believes in them. When they’re encouraged to try something new, and learn that falling down is part of the process, and getting back up is what builds our strength. And taking a shot is always better than never taking a chance.
Now, maybe Penny doesn’t feel all of that quite as deeply as we do.
But we have to believe she loves the shirt because she can feel how proud her dad is to put it on her back. It’s just one more way he shows her he has total confidence that she can do anything she wants in this world.
That’s why we started SHE’S GOT NEXT.
So every girl and every woman who wants to go for it knows there’s a community behind her—ready to cheer, support, and remind her she belongs in the game.
And when she’s ready to step up, she knows she’s got next.
And if she’s extra lucky, she’s also got someone doing her laundry. 🙂
Thanks, girl dads. Keep raising daughters who know they belong—on the field, in the game, and in every room where decisions are made.
We’re with you. And we’re with them.
Keep the love (and photos) coming. It really does light us up to see this message taking root.
