Frequently Asked Questions

Membership is open to two groups: Women Athletes and Ellevators, our affectionate term for professional women championing women’s sports.

  • Women Athletes: This includes current or former elite Canadian women athletes who have competed at the College, University, National, Olympic, Paralympic, Professional, or equivalent levels. These athletes can apply directly for membership.
  • Ellevators: These are professional women passionate about elevating Canadian women athletes. Membership in this group requires a referral from a current SHE’S GOT NEXT member.
For those who don’t meet the above criteria but still want to support our mission, there is the option to become an Ally. Allies can support by making a donation, subscribing to get email updates, and attending SHE’S GOT NEXT events that are open to the public. While Allies do not have access to the online platform or members’ discussion boards, they play a crucial role in supporting amateur athletes with funding, visibility, and community support. Allies receive updates on the organization and invitations to relevant programs and events.

Apply by clicking the membership link that applies to you. You’ll be directed to create a profile and answer five screening questions. Once submitted, we’ll schedule a quick 15-minute conversation with someone from our team. Approval will take place shortly after, and you’ll be welcomed into our online platform to meet our awesome community of Athletes and Ellevators!

SHE’S GOT NEXT is set up as a non-profit society to amplify our impact, enabling us to collectively drive change more effectively. By focusing on collaboration and community support, we can achieve greater things together than individually.

We also have a CHIMP Giving Group, where individuals and organizations will receive a charitable tax receipt for contributions made directly to support athletes through scholarships and programs. Contributions up to $1,000 can be made on our website. Please contact us at admin@shesgotnext.ca for giving amounts over $1,000.

Membership dues are not considered a donation, and members will not get a tax receipt for membership dues.
